Secondary

The Godwins Secondary School Curriculum uses Syllabuses of both Singapore and the University of Cambridge International Examinations. The secondary Students will sit on the National Examination as well as the Cambridge tests.
The Secondary programme builds on the foundation of the early primary years. It also looks to bringing out each student’s individual interest and liking for the various subject matters.  Our goal is for the students to focus on core knowledge and life skills, and to provide greater space for flexibility in carrying out school-based activities in the curriculum. .
Godwins School also aims to prepare students to be responsible global citizens and enable them to achieve the highest level of their potential. Toward these two goals, the school emphasizes the whole child, providing a wide variety of excellent academic and co-curricular experiences.
We believe that becoming socially responsible is the foundation for success in Secondary School, and in life! That’s why the principles of respecting self, respecting others and respecting the environment are an integral part of everyday life at Godwins Secondary School.


What are the options?

Lower Secondary students (Secondary 1 and 2) are enrolled in the following subjects: English Language; Chinese Language/ Indonesian Language; Mathematics; Science; Computer Science; Geography; History; Literature; Art and Design; Physical Education; Music/Dance.


International Assessments

Check Point by the University of Cambridge International Examinations offered in more than 50 countries.
Every student at Godwins School primary and Secondary will sit on Cambridge Primary & Secondary Checkpoint test. These tests offer feedback on a learners’ strengths and weaknesses in the key curriculum areas of English, Mathematics and Science. The tests provide schools with an external international benchmark for learner performance.
The feedback gained from Cambridge Checkpoint is an invaluable source of information for learners, parents and teachers. Learners and parents will have a transferable indication of academic progress and achievement. Schools will be able to make strategic decisions, drawing upon a pool of information and specialist reporting tools built into Cambridge Checkpoint result.
